Phillip Gibbs
I am qualified to degree level and prefer to practice the integrative approach with my clients, taking from every type of counselling that has something I can employ as it gives me the widest possible array of tools to use in support of the people I see, and helps them feel they have the attention from me they really deserve. I am always happy to learn new things and apply them to my practice and my life in the same way I have used my experience of life to inform my counselling. I am a husband, a father, and a grandfather to two beautiful neurodiverse kids. I have learnt to come to terms with chronic pain and poor mobility, family members with significant mental health problems, and of course, the grief and loss we all experience in life. As a result, I am motivated and equipped to help you find your way through when you need someone. These factors have allowed me to see all the positives that exist in people, who everyday accomplish things or even survive things that would leave others in pieces without even realising how extraordinary they are. It’s an honour to have a part to play in the continuing journeys you all make.
